Perfmatters is a lightweight, targeted WordPress performance optimisation plugin. Unlike full-featured caching plugins, it focuses on disabling unnecessary WordPress and third-party plugin functionality (bloat), as well as optimising the loading of scripts and fonts.

It lets you selectively disable CSS/JS scripts per page, disable embeds, emojis, XML-RPC, limit revisions, etc. It also offers features such as DNS preloading, preconnect and local hosting of Google Fonts. It's an excellent complement to a caching plugin.
