Context
Geekworkers.ch collaborated with Domo.health, a Swiss HealthTech startup located at EPFL, to redesign their website and create an e-commerce section. Specializing in the digitalization of the healthcare sector, Domo.health offers innovative solutions such as Domo Go, a connected watch, and Home Base Care, a SaaS for independent nurses. The goal of this project was to modernize their website and implement an effective e-commerce solution despite the limitations of the Webflow platform.
A Technological Approach Adapted to Constraints
The development of the Domo.health project was marked by the technical limitations of Webflow, which proved restrictive, particularly for e-commerce management. Webflow is an excellent platform for informative sites, but it has shown its limitations in the management of online transactions. To overcome these restrictions, we decided to create an interconnection with WooCommerce, allowing both e-commerce management and a smooth user experience. This technical approach required tailor-made solutions to ensure perfect synchronization between the two platforms, thus providing consistency in navigation and functionality.
Adaptation to technical restrictions
Throughout the project, our team had to adapt to the constraints imposed by Webflow, looking for innovative solutions to ensure the continuity of the user experience, particularly for the integration of WooCommerce.
UX and UI Design: Combining Simplicity and Efficiency
One of the major challenges was to create a user interface that effectively combines the informative aspects of the site with the e-commerce functionalities. We designed a modern and intuitive interface, focused on the user, to meet the diverse needs of Domo.health’s customers.
A smooth user experience
We have paid particular attention to the ergonomics of the site, with a clean and modern design. This allows easy navigation, whether consulting information on connected health products or placing an order online. The interface has been designed to be accessible and intuitive, facilitating user interaction with the platform.
Custom Technical Development
For the technical development, we opted for WooCommerce to meet the requirements of an e-commerce management system, while maintaining the informative features of Webflow. This involved creating an efficient technical gateway between the two platforms, ensuring smooth management of orders and transactions.
Optimization and Performance
We have implemented several optimization strategies to ensure that the Domo.health website runs smoothly and quickly, especially during the online purchasing process.
